These days a bishop doesn't have many choices, since the number of priests has declined so rapidly

More and more parishes and Mass centers are being merged or closed down

A better way:  leave them open, and ordain "suitable people" from the local community to be their pastors

Jesus, please stop the closing down and merging of churches
