Some religions, like Buddhism and Hinduism,
put a brake on human progress
by saying that there's nothing after this life
and you can't change your basic status in life

Christianity on the other hand says that
human progress is a part of God's plan for the human family

"People are not deterred by the Christian message from building up the world,
or impelled to neglect the welfare of their fellows,
but they are rather more stringently bound to do these very things"

Jesus, please help us do our part
to help the progress of the human family
