As the human family continues to progress,
it must never forget it's involved in a war:

"... a monumental struggle against the powers of darkness
pervades the whole history of humankind.
The battle was joined from the very origins of the world and will continue until the last day...
Caught in this conflict, we are obliged to fight a daily battle
if we are to cling to what is good...relying on help of God's grace

"...If anyone wants to know how this unhappy situation can be overcome,
Christians will explain that all human activity,
constantly imperiled by our pride and selfishness,
must be purified and perfected by the power of Christ's cross and resurrection"

"Redeemed by Christ and made a new creature in the Holy Spirit,
we are able to and respect and reverence created things as coming from the hand of God"

Jesus, please help us fight the good fight each day
