After reading the above words, one automatically thinks of people like Matteo Ricci who put the above words into practice 400 years ago

Jesus, may the spirit of Ricci not be extinguished
by the present trend of "literal liturgy"
which goes over the heads of so many people
and seeks to impose a European church on the rest of the world
