This third last article of "Gaudium et Spes" expresses the hope that GS

- will help people better understand our human destiny
- will help people make a better world
- will help promote a stronger sense of belonging to the human family

Recently I met a drug addict in a prison hospital
....maybe his sixth or seventh time to be in prison for using drugs...
and he said sadly "I don't want to keep on living. I've got nothing to live for"

We Christians have the job of helping people like that man
- to better understand the meaning of life
- to pick up the pieces of life and start again
- to realise they belong to a family which cares about them

Jesus, please help me do a little bit more
to help people whose world is a mess
