Every Christian is called to be a good person,
to grown in goodness,
to become a better and better person,
to pray each day,
to be a "saint", "another Christ"
Some Christians follow the "Gospel
counsels" in a special way
to witness to the Good News and pray for the world
Many groups of nuns and "religious"
priests/brothers,
now pray in public with "the people"
rather than in private, by themselves
Instead of having Morning and Evening Prayer
in their private chapels,
they now pray in the local church
(if it's open!)
The time has long past for getting away from
the idea
that "prayer is something that priests and nuns do"
Prayer is as natural and as necessary for
every Christian,
from children to elders,
as breathing and eating
Jesus, please help all Christians have a love
for prayer,
from their earliest days
to their final moments
