The Church has the same role as Mary: to incarnate Jesus.

Christians should imitate Mary's faith, hope and love
as a way of following Jesus more truly

Right through her life,
Mary listened to God's word,
then put that word into practice,
even in the most difficult times

If we want to get a bit more courage for our daily lives,
let's remember Mary's courage:
- in leaving it up to God to tell Joseph where the baby came from
- in travelling to Egypt as a refugee
- in patiently waiting 30 years for her Son to show he really was the Messiah
- in asking Jesus, with "the audacity of hope", for more wine at Cana
- in standing at the foot of a criminal's cross, when most of that criminal's friends had abandoned him

Mary, please give me more courage in following your Son Jesus
