All devotion and honor given to Mary
should lead on to honor for her Son

(Lourdes is a great example of this. The Mass and Eucharistic devotion are central at Lourdes.
Mary attracts people to Lourdes...to her Son in the Eucharist)

Regarding honor to Mary,
we should avoid exaggeration on the one hand,
and narrow-mindedness on the other

We should especially avoid anything that gives the false impression
that we worship Mary.
We do not worship her. We honor her

We should also avoid giving the impression
that Mary is more important than Jesus.
This is the last thing Mary would want

Let us join with other Christians who honor Mary
in asking her who aided the beginnings of the Church by her prayers,
to pray to her Son for the whole human family

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen
