This article says how the media's description of evil can bring about more concern for goodness

e.g. The novels of Charles Dickens described the terrible conditions of poor people in Industrial England....and brought about social change (...some people say his books even helped England avoid a revolution as in France)

e.g. The novel/play/movie Les Miserables has had a powerful effect in describing the evil of poverty.  c.f.  one in ten Koreans (5 million people!) have seen the movie...because they can identify with the evil situation of the poor

Jesus, may the media continue to help our world  improve conditions for the poor
