This article encourages Eastern Christians in communion with Rome,
to do their best to promote unity with other Eastern Christians who are not in communion with Rome.

Ecumenism is thus seen to be multi-dimensional, a complex network of Christians whose disunity can only, in the long run, be healed by God's grace....which is why we have a week of prayer for Christian unity!
