Priests should receive a decent salary, enough to live on...and be able to help the poor

Unfortunately in some countries, the priesthood can be a business, a way to get money for yourself or your family

In some places, some priests have no interest in visiting prisons or hospitals (unless guaranteed a payment)
but plenty of interest in doing extra Masses, baptisms, weddings, funerals etc when a good stipend is attached

Jesus, please don't let priests get caught up in money-making....except for the poor
