As I continue to read this document's words about religious freedom,
I can't help thinking about religious freedom within the Church itself!

The selection of bishops, liturgical decisions,  etc....these are issues that Vatican II urged be the responsibility of national conferences. Not to mention freedom of expression by Catholic writers and speakers

But in recent years, Rome has taken back power from national conferences, and has severely restricted freedom of expression within the Church

DV Pope Francis will revive local responsibility and religious freedom within the Church

Jesus, may your Church be a place of religious freedom,
not religious coercion
