This article speaks about the vow of poverty, which for most religious has little to do with being poor, even though this article says "members must be poor both in fact and in spirit"
The article speaks about trusting in Providence, but these days most religious congregations trust mainly in Provident Funds
Article says " they should avoid every appearance of luxury, and the accumulation of goods", but there is a big difference between most religious houses and the houses of poor people
