Reflection 331
Based
on the 1965 Vatican II document: (Comments welcome here) |
This article speaks about promoting vocations for the Religious life
In a previous reflection I explained why I no longer promote vocations to the priesthood
For
similar reasons, I do not promote vocations to the Religious life.
Too many
problems. Too many issues. Women's institutes as well as men's. So many
older women religious have become nervous wrecks or bitter lemons or control
freaks. How can one encourage people to join their communities?
Men's
institutes are seriously affected by the issue of homosexuality.
