All of The Message is inspired by the Holy Spirit.
But we need to be careful how we understand this inspiration

It's a mistake to think that every word of the Bible is literally true.
Jesus himself made up stories and used exaggeration in his teaching.
He didn't mean us to take every word of his literally

Humans, from many different backgrounds
used many different writing styles to put The Message together

The humans' backgrounds and styles need to be appreciated
if we are to understand The Message properly

"Your eyes are doves" says the Song of Songs.
That doesn't mean feathers under the eyebrows

Holy Spirit, please help us understand The Message
the way you want us to understand it
