2014-10-28   A person who can save HK from chaos

 

Hong Kong is now a very divided city, with tension growing between various groups in the community.
There is also a growing mistrust between HK people and the central government in Beijing.

What we need is someone who can stop this deteriorating situation. Such a person needs to be  respected and trusted by both HK people and the central government.

Such a person needs to have the only authority that really matters: moral authority that generates trust and respect. Most British governors of HK had this authority, even though they couldn't speak Cantonese.

I can think of one such person. His appointment as Chief Executive would be a win-win situation for Beijing and HK, and would send the stock market soaring. His name: Wen Jiabo
