2014-11-25   Other occupy HK movements

Admiralty and Mong Kok are not the only locations in Hong Kong to have experienced occupation. Every day I see other places being illegally occupied, causing inconvenience to HK people.

I often see unregistered hawkers outside Exit A of Jordan MTR, making life difficult for pedestrians on an already crowded footpath, just like the illegal iPhone6 sellers on the Central walkway and in other places.

Not to mention shopkeepers, magazine sellers and registered hawkers all over HK who illegally extend their selling areas by the use of cartons and boxes and stands.

I'd like to see the police have the power to deal with such illegal occupation. Hawker control teams and other agencies have lost the battle. It's time to reclaim HK's footpaths and walkways!
