November 15, 2016 Chinese & Western medicine ..& HK "independence"

A Google search using "what's the difference between Chinese and Western medicine?" brings up many interesting articles. One simple answer which has a lot of truth is "Western medicine treats the symptoms, Chinese medicine treats the causes".

In other words, Western medicine will prescribe pills and tablets, whereas Chinese medicine will follow the Chinese saying "sickness starts in the heart" and try to deal with the underlying causes of an illness.

At the moment in Hong Kong there is a phenomenon called "Hong Kong independence". Western medicine would say treat it with punishments, Basic Law interpretations, harsher laws, more riot police etc.

Chinese medicine would say "in order to stop the dog barking, we need to stop that man who keeps kicking the dog".
