February 28, 2017    Open letter to C.E. candidates

On behalf of the less fortunate members of Hong Kong society I wish to make several requests to the candidates in the coming Chief Executive election:

On behalf of the thousands of small shop keepers and hundreds of thousands of flat dwellers who are being strangled and suffocated by high rents: please do something.

On behalf of the hundreds of street sleepers who stay at McDonald's each night (...blessings on McDonald's for their compassion!): please turn an abandoned school or factory into a shelter for the homeless.

On behalf of hundreds of prison inmates who have received extremely harsh sentences: please hold a review into the present black and white sentencing policy that sometimes does not allow judges to take into account the background situation of defendants.
