December 5, 2017: Memo to Hong Kong airport Customs

Recently a number of female drug mules have been arrested at Hong Kong airport after flights from Addis Ababa. That they had drugs with them, obviously means that security at Addis Ababa airport was breached.

This means that passengers arriving from drug mule sending places like Addis Ababa need to be subject to extra security on arrival in Hong Kong: as soon as they leave their plane, all such passengers should have their carry-on luggage searched, and suspicious-looking passengers should be subjected to a body check.

If it becomes known that such arrival checks are likely, then people sending drug mules from places like Addis Ababa will think twice about choosing Hong Kong as a target destination.
