2011-11-30  Benedictine reflection re new translation

 It's interesting to note how former ICEL members are speaking out about the new translation.
The ICEL liturgy translators were "fired", "taken over", "kicked out" by Vox Clara.
At least two of the fired members are going down fighting

One is Filipino Benedictine, Father Anscar Chupungco.
His recent seminar in Hong Kong was full of "between-the-line messages"

In the USA, Benedictine Fr. Anthony Ruff  is pulling no liturgical punches

Both Anscar and Anthony are Benedictines......the Order that has been the engine of liturgy for more than a thousand years.
An engine of Vatican II was English Benedictine Bishop Christopher Butler

So, three Benedictines Vs  Benedict XVI  !
I wonder what St Benedict in heaven makes of this?
