A report in the NCR says that Pope Francis is experiencing opposition from some members of the Curia.

This opposition is not entirely unexpected, as many of the ‘perks’ of the job, no longer exist for those in the Curia, as a result of the changes that Pope Francis has made at the Vatican.

I’m sure it still surprises people, to know, that we can have very unchristian –like behaviour, especially, among those who publicly purport to have a vocation in Christ.

Take a look again at the Beatitudes! Jesus says, "If they hated me, they will hate you". Following and Serving Christ, is not a popularity contest. If we are truly with Christ, we will have enemies! It’s probably a true sign of Pope Francis’s Christian vocation, if, by speaking and acting, in the name of Christ, He is drawing heat! After all, Jesus said, "He came to bring fire to the earth". Francis and Jesus Christ are bringing fire to the Vatican, and clearly, there are those who do not like it!

The enemy will come as Jesus announces in the Gospel. The enemy, also known, as the weeds, will grow and live alongside the wheat! However, the weeds and the wheat remain the concern of Christ, and each will have their just rewards in this life and in the next!

The Easter Season continues and we are assured that Christ is leading His own in triumphal procession! His own, definitely including Pope Francis!
