I have a brief comment for this week. The source of my blog is the article entitled, "An Overdose of Infallibility" that appears on the websites of the National Catholic Reporter and v2Catholic.com.

There are many points in this article that I could comment on, but, I was particularly struck by the report of Robert McClory that suggests that the Church Magisterium considers itself, the "legitimate authority", and therefore they see themselves as having the right to quash the notion of women’s ordination and its discussion. This is my interpretation of what the NCR reporter states.

I have to seriously wonder if our Lord and Jesus Christ considers the Roman Catholic Magisterium a/the legitimate authority.

THE PHARISEES AND SADUCEES THOUGHT THEY WERE THE LEGITIMATE AUTHORITY TOO!
