Tyranny at the Vatican?

(Comments welcome here)

  Darlene's background

It is my understanding that Cardinal Muller of the CDF (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith) is having a book published, in which he and other cardinals, including George Pell, are entrenching the traditional values/norms of the Catholic Church, in regards to who can and who cannot receive communion, as a result of their marital status. Father Seamus Ahearne of Ireland, questions whether this is an indirect attack on Pope Francis. To which, I ask, "Is there tyranny at the Vatican?

A Father Peter Day of Australia has very intelligently and directly challenged Cardinal George Pell in an open letter, regarding Cardinal Pell’s apparent belief, that the Eucharist is meant for Roman Catholics who abide by the rules of the Church, the "Good Catholic". (my words) I think it is brilliant. Father Day emphasizes that the Eucharist is not only for those who are Church correct, (my words) but, is intended, for all sorts of people on the margins of society. A belief that flows from the compassion of Jesus in the Gospels towards all who would be called sinners.

The Synod of the Family is underway in Rome. I am watching and listening for just about everything. Will the tyranny be confirmed? Or, perhaps, You and I will be pleasantly surprised. May the Holy Spirit bless and direct the people and the process!
