The most welcoming surprise for me, that came from Pope Francis, at the Synod…..was his plea that the bishops speak boldly. That is, Pope Francis wants them to say what they think and feel most truthfully. If the bishops do this, this kind of "airing" might lead to some fascinating and engaging revelations. Such revelations could change the course of the RC Church. Imagine, what things might come from other types of synods.
