The Pentecost is the anointing of the Holy Spirit to live a life in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Blessed are You if You find yourself the recipient of this Holy, Holy Grace. To live a Life in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, is to live a life not of this world, but, truly, a heavenly existence, in spite of the fact, that we physically dwell on this earth. An abundance of this Grace, means that You, who are so blessed, are as scripture says, "predestined to be conformed into the Image of the Son." A life lived in the Fullness of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, means being as scripture says, "called, set apart, justified, sanctified, and glorified." Truly, no earthly vocation can provide that kind of reward.

A life lived in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, does not eliminate all of our trials and tribulations, as scripture also says, "the Road to Heaven is Paved with Many Humiliations." It is a life of sorrows and joys, and that is why St. Therese is depicted holding the cross with roses. Nonetheless, it is the most rewarding life and as Jesus promises in the scriptures, "If you lay down your life for Me, you will find Your Life."
