Today is the Feast Day of St. John of the Cross, a Discalced Carmelite Priest, living in a Carmelite Monastery in Spain in the 16th century.  What a blessing he is for the Catholic Christian Church, as his spiritual writings continue to guide even contemporary Catholic Christians, especially those, who are experiencing a Call from Christ to a Vocation to Divine Intimacy.

As well, Katherine Dougherty, founder of the lay apostolate, Madonna House, in Combermere, Ontario, Canada, returned to the Lord, on December 14th, 1985.  I had the honour of visiting Madonna House at that time, and so, December 14th marks my 30th anniversary of a very, special spiritual time.
