Vincent de Paul used to help poor people.
For his memorial day yesterday I found myself helping a number of poor people:
In the morning and night time.... a homeless Spanish lady...who had been sleeping on street for several weeks....I found her accommodation for two nights then with the help of a kind Spanish-speaking priest and a kind Filipino sister and a kind Notre Dame parishioner, a plan was devised to help her have an appointment at immigration tomorrow 3pm (with representative of Spanish consulate-general), then stay at the sister's emergency accommodation shelter until Oct 6...on which night a seat will be available on a flight to Spain (for which lady will pay half, our team the other half)
Three
other cases involved phone calls re very sick mother of an inmate,
a homeless man whom I helped last Sat night, a handicapped lady in
hospital, and the children of an inmate
With the afternoon spent at a prison
St Vincent de Paul, please pray for all of the above!
