Dear Friends
The child abuse inquiry in Victoria, Australia, is rocking the Church with new shocks each day (see Catholica )
Not just the Church, but the whole of society will be rocked as more and more cases of abuse are brought to light....from family situations, sports' clubs, schools etc
This is a painful, humbling, purifying time ....as a result of which society, and especially the Church, should be in penitential mode....leading to humble service of the poor mode as a way of making up for the past
A time for "sack cloth and ashes", not a time for dressing like this or this
