II and the Holy Spirit
This article reminds us that the Holy Spirit was speaking to the Church through the gathering of all the world's bishops with the pope
We
can say Vatican II was an expression of the voice of the Holy Spirit,
calling on the Church to renew itself and to be open to the world
For anyone, even a subsequent pope, to refuse and oppose the message of Vatican II is a serious business
Opposing the message of Vatican II means opposing the Holy Spirit
Yet
that is what is now happening.
And the Leader of the Opposition is Benedict XVI
No wonder some people say Benedict and his Curia allies are in schism
