wrapped it in a burial cloth, and put it in a rock tomb that had not yet
been used. The women from Galilee who had come to
Jerusalem with Jesus went with Joseph to the tomb. Then they left to
prepare burial spices and ointments. They planned to put these on Jesus'

Yesterday afternoon a skillfull and brave worker
from MercyHK's canteen climbed onto the roof of the next door Dr Jesus Centre
prayer room and removed a large pile of rubbish - including many big items of
wood and metal - which kind neighbours in rooms above the Centre had dropped
onto the roof! ... a job that needs doing several times a year, unfortunately

At 5pm Monday to Friday at the front of the Yau Ma Tei clinic,
MercyHK staff and volunteers distribute around 50 rice boxes to registered
people who get methadone each day from the clinic. Rice boxes are provided by
nearby Gingko House with whom MercyHK works in partnership to help needy people.

The usual Thursday midday gathering yesterday for homeless
people at the Dr Jesus Centre began in its usual quiet way until social worker
Simon mentioned the word "McDonald's" .... maybe next week a lunch at
McDonald's in Kowloon Park. As soon as the M word was mentioned the group
suddenly became like spectators at a football game when their team has just
scored a goal!

Thu March 20
Since last Saturday night, when I first heard about the situation, I have been
asking everyone to pray for a Kenyan woman due to be executed in Vietnam. The
execution date has passed and there is no news. Please God this means the
execution has at least been postponed for the time being.
Two days ago at Lo Wu women's prison, when I asked people to pray for the woman
in Vietnam, a Kenyan woman said she knew the woman in Vietnam (Margaret Nduta)
... and that the two of them had been in prison in Ghana after being forced to
take drugs there by Nigerians who threatened their families. The HK woman's case
was dropped because the police managing her arrest misappropriated the drugs and
the police themselves were arrested. But Margaret served about 4 years in the
Ghana prison.
When the Lo Wu Kenyan got back to Kenya from Ghana, she was immediately
contacted by the Nigerians who again threatened her family, even kidnapping her
son. So she came to HK with drugs, but on arrival immediately notified Customs
that she had drugs .... and is now serving a shortened sentence.
She feels that on release from Ghana that Margaret faced the same situation ...
threats to family...forcing her to go to Vietnam.
So the woman in Lo Wu wrote a simple note in Swahili to try to help stop the
execution. That night I sent the note to a media friend in Kenya ... which led
to this
FB report, which in 24 hours had 635,000 views ... and hopefully has
given the Kenyan government useful information to share with the government in
Vietnam to stop the execution. The interview with me is at 1.23. JESUS,

information that might help the Kenyan woman facing execution in Vietnam (see
menu of 18/3, below). I have forwarded the information to a media friend in
Kenya. JESUS, PLS HELP THAT WOMAN IN VIETNAM!

Reflection on the above readings: As the legal son of Joseph, Jesus was a descendant of King David
Correction to popular use: Joseph was the step-father, not foster-father of Jesus, because Joseph was the husband of Mary, and Mary was Jesus' biological mother. St Joseph, pray for our families!

is watching". Thief cannot see anyone. Voice is again heard: "Joseph
is watching". Thief uses torch .... sees that "voice" is a
parrot. Thief goes on putting items in his sack. Voice then says to huge savage
guard dog: "Get him, Joseph!"!!!
