Two
items:
1. Re those anti-Falun Gong banners I
mentioned Nov 27:
the banners at corner of Nathan and Jordan Roads....see photos at Nov 27
link....are now in tatters...having been horizontally slashed in half,
literally, two or three nights ago. Banners in Tsim Sha Tsui are still
intact
2.
I mentioned yesterday that nothing changes in the Church
unless the Pope agrees to it.
On second thoughts, some changes do take place:
- people continue to leave the Church through discouragement etc
- serious problems continue to get worse (abuse inquiries, situation of divorced
people, shortage of priests etc)
- external issues (poverty, climate change, unemployment etc) continue to be
neglected while the Vatican concentrates its efforts on total control of
internal issues.
All the more reason for any effort we can make to encourage people to "keep
going" despite all the problems, shame, sadness etc.
